Norlha

Norlha was founded in 2007 in Ritoma, a nomad settlement on the Tibetan Plateau, to work with families who have spun, woven and felted cashmere and yak for generations. It takes eight different skilled makers to make a single scarf or blanket and their most intricate pieces can take over 100 days for a single artisan to complete.

The work of Norlha has brought positive change to rural Tibetans offering an alternative way of life to herding while still remaining rooted in their environment.
